Course overview
Individual skills do not add up to a professional package on their own. This capstone runs one commission end to end: interpreting a client brief and recording its information gaps, analysing the site, reviewing policy, mapping constraints, testing development capacity, setting a land-use and programme strategy, resolving circulation, public realm and environmental response, producing the concept masterplan and supporting diagrams, reconciling the area schedule, writing a concise planning report and assembling a planning-review presentation with a quality-control checklist. The course is about integration and coordination discipline: keeping one set of numbers, one set of assumptions and one argument across every document a client receives.
Professional problem addressed
Packages fail review not because any single drawing is wrong, but because the report, schedules and drawings disagree and the assumptions were never written down.
