Course overview
A constraints plan is the drawing everything else in a project argues with, so it has to be right and it has to be readable. This course covers the full QGIS workflow: setting up a project and coordinate reference system, bringing in and checking layers, building buffers and constraint zones, keeping the data honest about accuracy, and producing a print layout that a non-GIS colleague can use in a meeting. Method is taught generally; any locally specific buffer standard is treated as an input to confirm, not a fixed rule.

A project team is designing against constraints nobody has mapped consistently, so each discipline is working from a different picture of the site.
Real-world scenario
A planning authority asks for a single constraints plan for a growth area so that development-control officers, the design team and the drainage engineer are assessing the same information.
